You are ready. But is your show ready? You've created your show [link to creating a new show] and you want to share it with the world. Make sure your show has everything below for better changes of approval:

Show Cover Art

We required it when you created the show, but now's the time for you to be extra sure it is exactly what you want and need it to be. Apple has pretty strict requirements, so it's best to follow their standards:

  • 3000 x 3000 pixels

  • Resolution of 72 dpi

  • JPG or PNG file type

  • RGB colorspace

You should also make sure it looks good and is recognizable regardless of where it's seen (phone, website, tablet, car display)

Language, please!!

This applies to explicit (!) and the language itself

  • Language - What language is your podcast? Is it English with a little bit of French? Or is it French with a touch of Spanish? Whatever it is, make sure that your key language is updated in your Adori show details. We put this in the RSS feed, and podcatchers will check this before they approve your show for distribution

  • Language (*^!#) - If your podcast is explicit, make sure you've indicated such in your podcast settings! The last thing you want is to get pulled from distribution (or denied distribution) because your podcast isn't properly labeled.

  • Image Language - Even if you label your podcast as explicit, your podcast cover art cannot contain explicit language.

Give them Something to Talk About

Reviewers need something to review. Something to talk about. So make sure there is something there for them to review. You need at least one episode, if not a trailer, ready in your RSS feed for review. (A trailer [link to article re trailer] is a great way to intro your show before you have any episodes ready to publish, or if you have a go-live date that you want to use for your first official episode drop)

And finally, be sure you give yourself enough time for potential change requests from Podcatchers. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen from time to time.
